„Mozart unGENIErt“

The musical production Mozart unGENIErt is a collage of Don Giovanni, an opera by Giuseppe Gazzaniga with a libretto by Giovanni Bertati, and Scenes from Mozart's Life by the composer Albert Lortzing. This collage-like plot is presented on four different levels: the Mozart level; the Don Giovanni level; the choir level, which follows the entire action from the edge of the stage; and the vocal quartet level, which sets the plot in motion with grotesque interludes. The director acts as a master of ceremonies, connecting the levels with an exaggerated cabaret style.
